Lump in armpit is inflammation of one or more lymph nodes, which typically become swollen and tender. So when the lymph nodes around the neck, armpit, and groin swollen and sore when pressed, it is a sign of lymphadenitis.

There are two types of limfotik cancer system that Hodgkin disease and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Lymphoma is a group of related and malignant disease of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is an important part of the immune system that make up the body's natural defense against infection and cancer.

Lymphatic fluid is a white liquid that resembles milk fat and protein containing all lymphocytes throughout the body via the lymphatic vessels. There are 2 types of lymphocytes are B cells and T cells B cell function helps protect the body against bacteria by making antibodies that destroy bacteria.

Causes of Lump In Armpit (Lymphadenitis)

Lymphadenitis almost always results from an infection, which may be caused by bacteria, viruses, protozoa, rickets, or fungi. Typically, the infection spreads to the lymph nodes of skin infections, ear, nose, or eyes or of some infections such as infectious mononucleosis, cytomegalovirus infection, streptococcal infection, tuberculosis, or syphilis. The infection can affect the lymph nodes or only on one area of the body.

Symptoms of Lump In Armpit (Lymphadenitis)

Infected lymph nodes are usually enlarged and tender and very painful. Sometimes, the skin along the infected glands appear red and feel warm. The person may have a fever. Sometimes, pockets or pus (abscess) formed. Enlarged glands of the body that does not cause pain, or redness may indicate a more serious disorder, such as lymphoma, tuberculosis, or Hodgkin lymphoma.
